In end of 1920s the Red Army was looking to replace its aging stocks of revolvers with modern automatic pistols. 7.63 x 25mm Mauser cartridge (with minor changes) was selected to become new pistol ammunition and was designated as 7.62mm/0.30in Tokarev. The new pistol design adopted was the TT-30 (Tula-Tokareva M1930), later refined to the TT-33 standard that was designed to be manufactured faster.
The TT-33 was hampered with various design problems during the early stages of its service. These problems were corrected by 1941 and soonTT-33 gained reputation for reliability and ruggedness.
This model utilizes plug fire cartridge system and brass PFC cartridges for realistic firing experience. This replica model succesfully captures the atmosphere of Soviet TT-33 pistol and copies succesfully even the hard trigger pull of TT-33. Plastic and zinc materials have been well used in this heavy weight version to create authentic feel.
